Introduction to Course Creation, Approval and Maintenance (CCAM)

The Course Creation, Approval and Maintenance (CCAM) functionality currently delivered online via WISARD enables the recording and maintenance of course data within the University’s corporate student record database (DACS – Database of Admissions, Curricula and Students).

As part of the EUCLID Project a migration of course data from DACS to the EUCLID database will be carried out. Following this migration a EUCLID CCAM component will be made available to staff for the continued online management of course data.

In November 2009 the Course Creation, Approval and Maintenance (CCAM) functionality in EUCLID will go live. There will however be a transitional period that requires both WISARD CCAM and EUCLID CCAM to run in parallel until July 2010. See Transition from WISARD to EUCLID

This online user guide outlines the details of this transition and the processes for creating a course, passing it through the approval process and, once approved, for maintaining/updating course data on an ongoing basis via EUCLID CCAM.
