Create a DPT by Copying an Existing DPT

The task to create a new DPT will be sent by EUCLID Support to the relevant Curriculum Management Group Intray. All DPT Editors will have access to their schools group intray.

Below is the group intray for the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures containing a request to create the DPT for Chinese and Ancient History (MA).

Click the subject heading to open the message.

To begin the task, click the Create DPT Task hyperlink in the bottom right corner of the message.

This will open the DPT Create – Option screen.

To create a DPT by copying an existing DPT, click EUCLID Screenshot

This will open the screen below.

Use the dynamic list box to retrieve the DPT you wish to copy.

The programme being copied must have the same number of years as the DPT you are creating.
Select the programme from the drop down list and click EUCLID Screenshot

This will open the View and Copy DPT screen below.

In the example above the new DPTs for Chinese and Ancient History (MA) will be created based on the existing DPTs for Chinese and Linguistics (MA).

It is possible to view the DPTs being copied by clicking on the hyperlink for each year of the programme.

Having confirmed that the DPTs should be copied, click EUCLID Screenshot

Use the drop down lists to select the Academic Year and Staring Month of the new DPT.

Click EUCLID Screenshot to create the DPT, after doing so the DPT can not be deleted.

The new DPTs have been created, it is now possible to amend the DPTs, change the DPT status or complete the task.

To begin amending the records now click the DPT Code hyperlink for the year of the programme to be updated.

To make the DPTs active click the EUCLID Screenshot button.

To complete the task click the EUCLID Screenshot button. This will open the screen below.

Having completed the task the DPTs can now be edited via the Amend DPT menu.
