Delete a Collection

To delete a collection, select Delete Collection from the DPT Collections menu.

Select the type of collection you want to delete from the drop down list and click .

If Programme Collection is selected (as above) the Collection Code field will automatically be populated with ROU_, the programme collection prefix.

If Subject Collection is selected the Collection Code field would be populated with SUB_, the subject collection prefix.

The Collection Code dynamic list box has automatically been populated with the programme collection prefix ROU_.

To retrieve using the dynamic list box continue typing the programme collection code if known. A list of matching codes will appear in the dropdown list.

Alternatively clear the field and start typing the collection name (case sensitive) remembering that wildcards* can also be used.

Type *eltic to display a dropdown list of all courses and collections containing the keywords. Replacing the first letter of the keyword with a wildcard* will ensure all records containing the word Celtic will be returned regardless of case or where it appears in the title.

Select the programme collection to be viewed from the dropdown list, this will automatically populate the Collection Code field as displayed below.

Click  to view the courses in the collection before confirming that the collection should be deleted.

Remember that only the collection is being deleted and not the individual courses.

Click  to delete this collection.

Click  to close the window.

Collections currently being used by an active DPT cannot be deleted. If an attempt to delete a collection currently in use is made an alert message will be displayed.
