Overarching Rules & Sequencing

Using overarching rules requires course options to be added to groups before the rule can be applied. In the example below both course options were added to Group A and an overarching rule of exactly 40 credits was stipulated.

When Groups are introduced to a DPT the order in which sequence numbers are displayed will change. The DPT will display all sequences which are not part of a group in numerical order followed by those in Group A, B, C etc…

In the example below, sequence 090 has been added to a DPT that already includes a group. The group (Group A) contains sequences 070 and 080 however these are displayed below sequence 090 as it is not currently part of any group.

If it is important that the newly added option (sequence 090) appear below Group A it can be added to Group B on its own.

Sequence 090 now appears in Group B, however until the overarching group credits have been updated it will appear as a nested group within Group A.
