Programme CollectionsProgramme collections combine a group of courses required for a specific academic programme or group of programmes. DPT Editors are able to create custom programme collections to help them enforce the rules of a DPT. All programme collections will have a code starting with the prefix ROU_. To provide easy identification of programme collections it would be preferable to follow the code structure below: ROU_ School Schedule Code_Programme Code_SCQF level Examples of Programme Collections
The above examples illustrate the preferred code structure however when creating a new programme collection, any 12 characters can be entered in place of the programme code. It is also possible to create multiple programme collections using the same programme code, in these cases the system will automatically add a single incremental digit to the end of the programme code making sure each programme collection code remains unique. See Section: Amend, Create & Delete Collections If a programme collection is created by a school they will own it and only they will be able to amend it. If another school utilises that collection within their DPT they must remember that it can be changed at any time by the owning school and this will not automatically be notified to them. Why use Standardised Course & Collection Codes? By following the standardised EUCLID code structures for courses and for school, subject and programme collections, users are able to easily search for a specific course or collection using the wildcard * facility. The wildcard symbol * can be used when performing searches. Examples of Course Searches
