Subject Collections

EUCLID course codes are made up of the Home Subject prefix followed by the SCQF level and a three digit number unique to that subject and level.

Examples of Course Codes

• PHYS09019           Physics/SCQF level 9/019 - Statistical Mechanics
• ACCN10009          Accounting/SCQF level 10/009 – Audit Theory
• CHEM10016          Chemistry/SCQF level 10/016 - Geochemistry                

Although the Home Subject is hard encoded into the course title, it is possible to amend the home subject area. This can be done via the Amend Course function in EUCLID. All courses assigned to a specific subject area will appear in the relevant subject collection. All subject collections will have a code starting with the prefix SUB_ followed by the Home Subject and SCQF level.

• SUB_ARDE_8         All level 8 courses in Architectural Design
• SUB_ACCN_10      All level 10 courses in Accounting
