Offer Communications

General

All decisions entered in EUCLID are subject to review before being sent to UCAS.

Once the decision has been approved, it is immediately sent to UCAS for processing.

Applicants are informed of their offer, as normal, via UCAS Track, however, EUCLID will also send a message to the Applicant’s Intray with details of the decision. When an intray message is generated the applicants also receive a general email from euclid advising them to login to see the message. The email text looks like this:

Dear xxxxxxxx

We have just sent you a message about your application to study at the University of Edinburgh.

You can find this message in your EUCLID Intray when you log into our web-based information portal, "MyEd"

To log in to MyEd, please go to https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk You will need your University Username (s1111111) and the password that you created on initial registration.

EUCLID – the University’s online application system - can be found within MyEd’s 'My Application' or 'Studies' tab.

Open the EUCLID Intray and you will find our message waiting for you.

If you require assistance, please go to http://www.ed.ac.uk/student-systems/support-guidance/applicants

With best wishes

University of Edinburgh

The initial decision is sent to the Applicants Intray only after the offer has been successfully sent to UCAS, and UCAS have acknowledged the decision as error free. This allows UCAS to inform the Applicant in the first instance and creates a personal correspondence between the University and the applicant via euclid, encouraging the applicant to engage with the university systems.
